Carleen
​dumas

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
​DIRECTOR OF THERAPEUTIC SERVICES

​PA licensed and ASHA certified

​Carleen is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Salus University with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. She became interested in speech therapy after completing her undergraduate psychology degree and having the opportunity to work as an office manager in a pediatric speech therapy practice. During this time, she became passionate about the sessions she was observing and followed her dream by attending graduate school.

Specializes in feeding and swallowing, articulation,
social skills and AAC

​Pediatric feeding and swallowing is an area of interest for Carleen, as well as articulation, social skills, and other developmental delays that impact communication. Carleen recently attended a training seminar hosted by a nationally recognized expert in swallowing and feeding and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association board-certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders.

​Carleen is Prompt© trained, which is a research-based technique that helps to restructure articulation skills with a tactile-kinesthetic approach that uses touch cues to a patient’s articulators (jaw, tongue, lips) to manually guide them through a targeted word, phrase or sentence. 

SOS approach to feeding trained

Carleen is an SOS© Approach to Feeding trained therapist. SOS© (The Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding is a Play-Based program that teaches children to eat at a pace that respects their readiness to progress through learning the 32 different steps involved in the task of eating.  A nationally and internationally recognized approach for assessing and treating children with feeding difficulties.

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT)

OMT is a program used to correct breathing, swallowing, and chewing disorders, normalize freeway space, help stabilize the bite, and eliminate noxious oral habits such as tongue-thrusting and thumb-sucking. OMT stabilizes orthodontic, surgical, and dental results.

PURVI

Purvi is a licensed and certified occupational therapist who graduated from University of the Sciences. She has worked in various settings within the field of occupational therapy, with pediatrics being her true passion. She has had experience in the pediatric setting through clinical affiliations and professionally.

Specializes in sensory integration, vestibular processing neurodevelopment interventions, and sensory diets

Purvi is trained and experienced in sensory integration interventions, vestibular processing interventions and neurodevelopment treatment interventions. She is also well versed in establishing individualized sensory diets for teachers, parents and caregivers to implement. She aims to work closely with teachers within the child’s classroom to identify plans to increase attention and optimize the child’s experiences. Purvi believes in providing a holistic approach and encourages families to be involved in establishing treatments and goals for their child.

Purvi recently moved to Bucks County from Philadelphia. She loves to travel and explore new places, spend time with her friends and family (especially her little nieces and nephews), and experiment with new dishes and cuisines in the kitchen. She is looking forward to learning more about her new community and is thrilled to join the MCT team!

Alexandra graduated Summa Cum Laude from La Salle University from the 5-year program, graduating with a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology. Alexandra loves working with both adults and kids and works in various settings in the field including early intervention, schools, clinics, home health and skilled nursing facilities. ​

Specializes in language development, feeding, social skills, articulation, etc.

Alexandra's interests include early language development, dysphagia/feeding, and social skills/pragmatic language. Alexandra’s interest in early language development and feeding was heightened during her clinical rotation at Easter Seals while working in the multiple and severe disabilities classroom. Alexandra became interested in pragmatic language (social skills) during her employment at Rainbow Academy/Carousel Farms summer camp, enjoying the opportunity to teach children with special needs how to swim. Since then, Alexandra has gained experience in both pediatric and adult dysphagia, early language development, and social skills during her time in many various speech settings. She currently works at an outpatient pediatric facility (MCT), a skilled nursing facility, and a home-health agency.

Alexandra lives in Bucks County, where she loves spending time with her family and is very close with all four of her sisters. She is spontaneous, loves challenges and adventures, and is always looking for new spots to hike. She likes to keep busy and active. Alexandra loves dogs, especially her golden retriever, Buddy, and Labrador Retriever mix, Rebel. One day she would like to open up her own dog rescue.

Jenny is a licensed and certified speech language pathologist who graduated with her Bachelors in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences from Temple University and her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Monmouth University. She became passionate about speech pathology through her experiences in her undergraduate and graduate years volunteering and working in her externship positions. Jenny has previously worked at a private speech and language clinic, a research laboratory for aphasia, and a pediatric therapy clinic prior to working at My Child’s Therapy.

Specializes in articulation, alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and early language development.

Pediatric language development and articulation disorders are areas of interest for Jenny. She has previous experience volunteering at Augmentative Communication Empowerment Supports (ACES) at Temple University which built her interest in AAC devices as well. She has had experience conducting an AAC evaluation and trial for a previous client. Jenny enjoys working with children to improve clarity and intelligibility.

Kristin is a Clinical Fellow Speech Language Pathologist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Salus University with a Master of Science Degree. She attended The Pennsylvania State University where she obtained her Bachelor Degree.

Specializes in language disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, apraxia of speech, articulation, and autism spectrum disorder ​

Kristin has training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (addresses oral motor difficulties and tongue ties) and PROMPT (tactile prompting for articulation). She loves continuing her education and constantly learning new techniques to help children grow and make progress.

Kristin has a passion for working in pediatrics and enjoys making every child's session unique and individualized to their plan of care.  She has worked with a variety of populations and ages, allowing her to expand her skills and knowledge in a wide range of specialty areas.

She has a passion for working with pediatrics and has had opportunities to work in the public school setting, outpatient clinics, and in acute care. She has worked with diverse populations including autism spectrum disorder, articulation and phonological disorders, social communication disorders, and fluency disorders. She loves working with children of all ages to help promote growth in their speech and language abilities!

Paige is from New Jersey but currently lives in Philadelphia, PA. She has an adorable black lab dog named Moxie. She enjoys spending her time with friends and family, exercising, and traveling. During the summer, you can find her at her beach house in Long Beach Island, NJ!

Kelsey
Murray

Kelsey is a licensed and certified speech-language-pathologist who graduated Maxima Cum Laude from La Salle University with a Master’s of Science in Speech-Language-Pathology.  She was a member of La Salle’s 5-year master’s program.  Kelsey became passionate about speech-language-pathology from having an older brother with multiple disabilities, who is non-verbal.​

Specializes in language disorders, early language development, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and low incidence populations

Kelsey has experience working with a variety of populations, including preschoolers with multiple disabilities.  She has implemented various forms of augmentative and alternative communication, including the use of picture symbol icons, dynamic display devices, and eye gaze technology.  Kelsey also has experience working as an early interventionist, treating young children with a variety of speech and language disorders.  Through this experience, Kelsey has experience providing children’s’ families with the tools necessary for their child to make progress.  Kelsey also has experience treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).  Kelsey loves collaborating with other therapists and feels that it can help make the child more successful!

Bo is a Clinical Fellow Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University with a Master of Arts in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences.  She received her bachelor’s degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. ​

Specializes in multimodal communication, Apraxia, articulation, etc.

Bo has had the privilege of working with a variety of populations, but the majority of her experience has been with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).  She completed PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) Level 1 training, which she has primarily used to help support the communication of preschoolers with ASD.  During her time in the pediatric outpatient setting, Bo gained experience working with children with feeding and swallowing difficulties and has a growing interest in this area.  Additionally, through her clinical experiences and training, Bo developed a passion for articulation disorders, with a special interest in Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).  She enjoys learning new ways to diagnose and treat speech and language disorders, and prioritizes functional communication for improved quality of life for children and their families.

Sonali

Sonali graduated Magna Cum Laude from Temple University with a Master of Arts Degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences. She also obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Temple University.

Specializes in early language development, articulation, and autism spectrum disorder

Sonali's passion for working with children with special needs began in graduate school and grew while working as an early interventionist, treating children ages birth to 3 with a variety of language, articulation, motor speech, and feeding disorders. She works with many young children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Sonali loves teaching early language learners about the foundational skills of communication, and encouraging use of all types of communication to build functional and meaningful communication with their families. She has gained experience treating both pediatric and adult clients with a variety of communication needs in outpatient, hospital, and school settings.

Casey graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The Pennsylvania State University and her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from La Salle University. Casey’s clinical experiences include working in specialized schools, elementary school, acute care and outpatient settings in the hospital, and early intervention. She has worked with individuals throughout the life span, evaluating and treating speech-language and swallowing disorders as a graduate student, clinical fellow, and certified speech-language pathologist. 

Specializes in articulation, and language disorders, early language development, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC):

Casey has experience working with a variety of populations, especially children with autism spectrum disorders. Casey takes special interest in early language development, teaching functional communication, and use of AAC to help individuals communicate. Casey enjoys collaborating with occupational therapists and physical therapists to integrate communication, sensory, and movement into therapy sessions. She is also interested in feeding therapy and is eager to learn new things to help her patients grow and reach their goals.

Shana is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist who graduated Magna Cum Laude from Salus University with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Shana discovered her passion for speech-language pathology after receiving her undergraduate degree in studio art and spending time observing a speech therapist in an elementary school setting and seeing the creativity that was incorporated into therapy with the students. During this time, she saw the creativity that was incorporated into therapy and realized that she could integrate arts into therapy and completed graduate school.

Specializes in articulation, social skills, alternative communication, feeding and swallowing and stuttering

Throughout her clinical fellowship at a pediatric outpatient facility and her clinical externships in an elementary school and a hospital and rehabilitation center, Shana Shana developed her skills in treating children and adults with articulation, language and pragmatic disorders as well as feeding disorders. She became interested in Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) after seeing the progress children made in communicating with various communication partners in different environments via PECS. Her interest in working with children who stutter grew as she provided treatment for preschool and school age children with fluency disorders. Shana provided feeding therapy to infants, children and adults and discovered the importance of creating a personalized therapy plan for each patient in order to develop skills.

She learned the value of collaborating with occupational and physical therapists in providing optimal care for her patients. She saw that integrating movement into her therapy and using various senses increased the motivation for children to participate in therapy resulting in progress with speech and language skills.

Kelly completed her clinical fellowship in Early Intervention in the Philadelphia region and continued working in early intervention for three years. Kelly gained experience working with babies and toddlers treating feeding, autism, oral motor disorders, developmental delays, and genetic disorders. Kelly also works in the educational setting with elementary school students and high school students.​

Marissa is a member of AOTA and has had numerous experiences and opportunities ranging from pediatric work at Schreiber Center to geriatric work at Manor at Willow Valley.

As a lifelong Girl Scout and a gymnast in grade school, Marissa has always had a passion for giving back to her community, challenging herself, and her body. Marissa carries those passions into her career by challenging her students to unlock their personal potential. Marissa excels in identifying and correcting learned behaviors and habits, strength training and conditioning, developing exercise routines, refining fine motor and gross motor skills, and promoting well-being both physically and mentally.​

Olivia is a PA licensed and certified Occupational Therapist who graduated from Salus University with a Master of Sciences in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation. ​

She has experience working with children with various neurological and developmental disabilities, including: neurodevelopmental disorders, sensory processing disorders, motor delays, developmental delays, visual perceptual difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, cerebral palsy, feeding difficulties, Down Syndrome and chromosomal conditions. She is passionate about sensory integration techniques and is currently attending a professional development course through Jefferson University to stay current with evidence-based practices. She prioritizes integrating caregivers during treatments to demonstrate carryover exercises for the home environment to ensure maximum success. She even started an Instagram page to help educate families on exercises to help their children achieve their therapy goals! She has worked in a variety of settings including: daycares, homes, community, schools for children with multiple disabilities, emotional support classrooms, ASD support classrooms, life skills classrooms and pediatric outpatient clinic.  She is currently working in early intervention and provides services for children ages 0-5 in the homes, community and school.

Eric is a PA licensed and certified occupational therapist. He graduated from Salus University with a Master's in occupational therapy as the OT Student Class President. He has a Bachelor of Administration: Marketing degree from Temple University.

Specializes in sensory intergration, sensory processing, low vision, social skills, and is Hanen Certified

For over a decade, Eric has been helping children grow and develop with experience as a Neshaminy Swim Coach, Black Belt Tae Kwon Do Instructor, and an Eagle Scout. He has spent his professional career as an OT helping children  build confidence and become more independent in their homes, day cares, schools, and associated outpatient facilities. He is pursuing further education to specialize in Low Vision with an additional Master's from Salus University. He is eager to help his clients become the best version of themselves and better understand how their own body and emotions allow them to interact with the world around them.

Nilesh discovered his passion for Physical Therapy while an opportunity to volunteer in community rehabilitation center. Nilesh worked in various physical therapy settings and continues to grow his skills set by treating various age population and range of conditions. He worked in school settings with children with multiple disability, early learning centers, home health services to bring best possible functional outcomes, gross motor coordination skills, higher level gross motor skills in children of various age groups.

Julie graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Life Science. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Drexel University in 2018.

Specializes in pediatrics, gross motor delays,  torticollis and infant development

Julie is experienced in evaluation and treatment of pediatric conditions impacting strength, range of motion, gait, coordination, balance and gross motor development. She has worked with children requiring adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs, assistive devices and orthotics to optimize their functional mobility. Julie has training in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) and hope to become certified in the near future. She has worked with pediatric patients aged birth to 21 in outpatient, home-based and school settings.

Jessica has always had a passion for working with the pediatric population. Throughout her clinical experiences she has developed skills and techniques to help children with a variety of motoric limitations and restrictions in order to reach key milestones and maximize potential. Jessica has experience working with children with neurological, orthopedic and developmental disabilities including: torticollis, cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, genetic mutations, anoxic brain injury, seizures, developmental delay and Down syndrome. She enjoys working with children of all ages!​
